A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES WHEN SEARCHING FOR PRODUCTS
You may want to combine a location search with Specialty or Type of Business browsing. For example, you can find a shop in Colorado that specializes in cellos by choosing "Colorado" from the State menu, "Instrument Dealers and Music Shops" from the Type of Business menu, and "Cello" from the Specialty menu.
If you're searching for an instrument or bow, choose a specialty, such as "Cello" or "Classical Bow." You'll be shown a list of both dealers and instrument makers who can meet your needs. (You may further refine this type of search by adding a State or Country later on.)
DO NOT CHOOSE A SPECIALTY, HOWEVER, when looking for an accessory that you want to purchase for personal use, such as strings or rosin. Instead, choose "Instrument Dealers and Music Shops" from the Type of Business menu and combine it with a location search. Then contact the business directly to confirm that they can meet your needs.
When looking for accessories or equipment, only choose a Specialty when you want to identify the manufacturer. For example, searching for "Amplifiers" in the Specialty menu will give you contact information for manufacturers of amplifiers such as Yamaha or Zeta. To find a dealer who sells Yamaha amplifiers, you'll need to follow the link to Yamaha's website and use their online dealer locator, or contact Yamaha by phone. (This type of search is useful if you are a dealer or member of the string trade and you need to locate another business.)
HOW TO SEARCH FOR SERVICES
If you are looking for services such as instrument and bow repair or appraisal, choose from the Specialty menu only, not the Type of Business menu, combining the Specialty with a location search by City, State, or Country.
HOW TO FIND INSTRUMENTS AND BOWS BY PRICE RANGE
If you are looking for a new instrument or bow, the Buyer's Guide can help you narrow your choices by price. Select a price range from one of the two drop-down menus below. You may combine this type of search with a location search.
A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES WHEN SEARCHING BY PRICE RANGE
Please also be aware that the Price Range search works only for new instruments and bows. If you are shopping for a used or antique item, do not use this search feature.
