Midsummer Musical Retreat is a festival workshop for adult amateur
musicians. This workshop provides a rich musical experience for adult

Intimate chamber music program in historic lake district. Designed
to further the love of music through a program of quartet and string

music parts are sent for advance study, and at camp each group is
coached daily. Seminars in improvisation with AliceKay Kanack, founder

The five-week Young Artist Seminar, open for students ages 15–22, includes
a daily schedule of practice, lessons, theory, chamber ensembles,
and orchestra. Twice-weekly playing classes provide public performing
experience, and weekly faculty concerts model musical development
and performance. The Junior Student Seminar, for students ages 10–14,
is a shorter, less-intense version that carefully maintains a balance
of musical study, performance, and extracurricular activities.
Scholarships available for YAS only. Students may attend one or both
JSSs.
